A dream for a girl like me who loved Barbie dolls as a kid. Mattel will release these four versions of Don and Betty Draper, silver fox Roger Sterling and buxom Joan Holloway in July. Martinis, cigarettes and extramarital affairs not included. At $74 a pop, they're not priced for kids. According to the New York Times, there will be 7,000 to 10,000 copies of each doll, to be sold in specialty stores and on two Web sites, amctv.com and barbiecollector.com. The Times article is a pretty interesting read, too.
You know what I'll be interested to see? How they package them.
