I couldn't resist some more Minneapolis goodness for the weekend. I just truly love all the wonderful colors in these stationery kits Kelly English and Kindra Murphy did for Studio on Fire here in Minneapolis. Beastpieces, Studio on Fire's blog posted a more in-depth exploration of this project back in March. See it here. Here are Kelly's details about the project.
"My dear friend Miss Kindra Murphy and I collaborated on a series of letterpressed stationary product commissioned by the superfantastic letterpress shop here in MPLS, Studio On Fire. We created three product lines, each of distinct narrative and personality: Sweetheart Seamstress, for the thread-thirsty fashionista; Charmed, for the superstitious optimist; and Polkaville Party, for the idiosyncratic wonder seekers.
Each line is available in five bundled sets of goodness:
+ two sheets of letterhead and corresponding envelopes
+ self-mailers notes and perforated sheets of gum-backed labels
+ hand-stitched journals
+ mini file folders and index cards
+ punch-out sheets of bookmarks, gift tags, and customizable calling cards with their own carrying case
A challenge we're proud of here was the collaboration with SOF in building as much economy as possible into the design of the press sheets so that the production was madly efficient. The result was 3 designs/press sheets that worked with 5 unique dies and trimming strategies. Sweet!
Also included are a few of the delicious make-ready prints...H-O-T-T. "
See more after the jump.
